OOC: State of the Wasteland, Jan. 2013
Jan. 14th, 2013 11:16 amFallout Capital Wasteland state at the moment:
- Functioning wind farm providing enough electricity to run RobCo plant
- Functional radio mast capable of moon-bounce communication if necessary
- Industrial robots available in limited quantity for work (primary limiter: fission batteries- currently these are being supplied from the reparations cache from the alien ship)
- Alien ship in orbit
- Several dozen thawed-out people from the alien ship returned to the Wasteland
- o People whose homes still exist have returned to them
- o People whose homes/families are destroyed are being settled SW of Canterbury
- Lamplight children living in Springvale
- Fawkes living in Springvale area, working w/children & with Moira’s printing press project
- Tanya Christoff happily engaged in relationship with Silver the ex-prostitute in Springvale
- Giant ants part of the patrols around Springvale and Megaton
- Big Town destroyed
- Andale depopulated
- Andale children and grandfather living in Arefu; grandfather working with the Family
- Grayditch depopulated
- Ant colony under Grayditch severely reduced
- Dr. Lesko still alive and experimenting on the ants, this time less stupidly
- Dr. Pinkerton still alive; has moved back into Rivet City proper and taken over science labs
- Dr. Madison Li has left the area for the Commonwealth
- Bryan Wilks living with his cousin Vera & working in Rivet City hotel
- Harkness still in charge of Rivet City security; has full access to original memories
- Rivet City security working with Brotherhood on water transportation
- Brotherhood operating water purifier at marginal profit; projected greater profit in three years
- Jack of the Green’s plants becoming rapidly widespread in the Wastes
- Vault 87 destroyed
- Tenpenny Tower unchanged
- Republic of Dave ostensibly under Dave’s control; however, it’s more an Edith Wilson situation
- Paradise Falls depopulated; buildings still standing, so probably inhabited by raiders at this point
- Evergreen Mills untouched, currently under control of Somah, who has alien weapons
- Reilly’s Rangers operating in the DC area, currently gathering mapping data for Brotherhood
- Talon Company no longer operating in the Wasteland; current leadership not popular, many surviving members have left
- Apostles of Eternal Light and Church of the Children of Atom both based out of Megaton and prone to arguments with each other
- Deathclaw breeding group largely wiped out in Olney
- Deathclaw Sanctuary in NW Wastes still operational, not that anyone knows this
- Raven Rock self-destructed; Brotherhood combing the ruins
- Surviving mutants fortified in Roosevelt Academy, several other places
- Temple of the Union operational at the Lincoln Memorial
- Agatha conducting regular broadcasts and recording sessions
- Multiple caravans based out of Canterbury Commons in addition to Harith, Doc Hoff, Wolfgang and Crow
- Robot ponies appearing in Wasteland alongside Brahmin as low-weight pack animals
- Joseph, the teacher kid from Lamplight, operating a school out of Arefu
- Lesser school operating in Springvale since the Lamplight kids had a replacement for Joseph
- Vault 101 sending people to the surface regularly, though they tend to come back in a hurry
- Megaton Brahmin herd starting to grow
- Moira’s library reprints appearing regularly among various trade caravans’ goods
- Ghouls still unhappy about not being able to live in Tenpenny Tower
- Slave-taking still something of a problem but the market is diminishing
- Giant ant colonies still exist undisturbed under the Corvega factory and in Shalebridge; no fire ants, though
- Raiders still living in Bethesda ruins, Fairfax (to lesser degree)
- Brotherhood Outcasts have lost most of their steam & are starting to negotiate with Lyons
- Lyons Doctrine established as critically important part of mission alongside tech reclamation
- Project Purity scientists/workers other than Madison Li working with Brotherhood, although the really jerky one may have left to go work for Pinkerton
- Brotherhood has 1-2 operational Vertibirds & limited quantity of fuel for them
- Oasis still secret, still viable; Harold’s plants spreading rapidly outward thanks to Jack’s assistance
- National Guard Armory has been breached & raided, contents either sold off or taken by the Brotherhood for their uses
- National Archives have been breached; Constitution, Declaration of Independence currently in Abraham Washington’s hands (Magna Carta went with Annabelle Newfield to give to Connor of Freakangels as a gift)
- Several pieces of Abraham Lincoln’s gear and ephemera in the hands of Hannibal Hamlin @ the Temple of the Union
- Nuka-Cola bottling plant still standing, inhabited by Nukalurks; enough liquid on premises for quite a lot of nuka-grenades yet to come (bring lead-lined barrels)
- Girdershade still two people and a lot of sexual frustration
- Dunwich Building completely irrelevant to this game as I have no urge to bring anything even vaguely Mythos into Fallout, kthx
