He jerks his chin at the man with the assault rifle, who grumbles, slings his weapon, and begins the less-than-exciting process of tidying up. "Hey! Forty! Think you can still operate a damn gate, or did the livestock get the better of you?"

Forty gives off rubbing at his nose to make a very rude gesture in Grouse's direction.
